Oh how cute is your Moose! Drinking green beer and wear green glasses, so creative. Thank you for sharing.
ReplyDeleteI smile every time I see something that you have created. That has got to be one of my favorites that you have made. Love the cute little tutu!
ReplyDeleteOh. I love your Moose. I knew you would do something creative with him. He looks great in his tutu. Being PA Dutch & married to an Italian... I really don't have any St Patty's story . Sorry.
ReplyDeleteAmazing Moose, just love your detailed work! The tutu just fits perfectly!
ReplyDeleteWe don't have any St. Patrick's day traditions where I live, sew I don't have a story, unfortunately...
That is so cute! I love the moose drinking beer in a tutu. My favorite St. Patrick's Day traditions is that every year I make all green food for the kids for breakfast and sometimes dinner. Green milk, green pancakes, green eggs and ham, green pudding, green everything!! They always say oh how gross I don't want to eat it and then completely eat everything in sight! I know that they won't do that forever but for now it is a fun little holiday tradition we enjoy. Thanks!
ReplyDeleteLOL, you made me laugh out lout in the mornig, your mini-quilt is just wonderful! At least someone who seems pleased to wear a "tutu" LOL!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the smile!
The moose are ready for st. Patty's Day! I think of green beer, corned beef & cabbage not stories for St. Patrick's Day.
ReplyDeleteYou have put several smiles on my face as usual, when you shows your creation. Your elk is fabulous with his ruffled collar and I love him.
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing your creativities.
Lovely tutu for the mouse! It was lot of fun to see your project.
ReplyDeleteThat ragged purse looks great, but I don't have any St. Patty story except that my daughter recently picked up the St. patty dress for her polar bear from Build-A-Bear :-).
So I thought to myself before stopping here, Maybe she'll put ruffles on a moose. Then I thought, Nah! Whoa! I was right the first time. Who knew. Very funny!!!
ReplyDeleteWatch out! Every moose will want one if they see this!!
ReplyDeleteYour St Pat's moose is delightful. Great idea!
Your tu-tu toting, St. Patty's Day Moose is just too fabulous lol.
ReplyDeleteYour moose is adorable! The cutest moose I have ever seen!
ReplyDeleteLove it. My snort of laughter nearly woke my husband though! Let me just try and explain this one! LOL
ReplyDeletefor your style, for your giggles for your joie de vivre thanks for adding so much colour and yes even ruffle to our day
ReplyDeleteThis is very cool
ReplyDeleteWHAT a funny moose! Why NOT give a Moose a green tutu? I LOVE it!
ReplyDeleteLOL, so creative!!
ReplyDeleteLove that moose! Perfect for your blog, of course! When I was teaching (3rd grade), I always made sure to wear green and gave each student a green sticker so no one would be inclined to pinch someone. We graphed marshmallows in Lucky Charms--and then ate them--and had a fun day. Thanks for sharing and for the give-away!
ReplyDeleteAHHH! My 1st real GRIN of the day! Very creative moose you've got there!
ReplyDeleteYour sense of humor and talent make for a great mix.
ReplyDeleteI would have never thought of a moose drinking green beer, and the glasses...perfect!
ReplyDeleteI love your green tutu and beer!
ReplyDeleteStarting my day with a giggle. Thanks to your creative genius my weekend is starting off in a happy way. Great job. Congrats on being a top pick, well deserved!
ReplyDeleteOh too funny!! You always have the best ideas!!!
ReplyDeleteShe is absolutely priceless. Wonderful way to start my day. I am the official Corned Beef and Cabbage cook for the family on an annual basis. This year I will be cooking for 10, but last week while on vacation with friends who live out of state, I had a special request to make St Pat's dinner for them. Celebrating 2 times this year. yah whooooooooooooo.
ReplyDeleteA moose in a tutu is just too funny, but so, so cute! He won't be getting pinched on St. Patrick's Day! I used to add a little green dye to my homemade bread for St. Patrick's Day and my kids love it. :O)
ReplyDeleteYou are rockin some quilts lately !! How cute and creative....only you would think up a moose drinking green beer.....I think that moose got drunk and stole the first tutu he saw off a ballerina in a bar !
ReplyDeleteLOL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Well you sure got it all: ruffles and your moose and St. Patrick's Day and I love the granny glasses, that's the icing on the cake, lol!!!!
ReplyDeleteThat is the best dressed moose I have ever seen. What a wonderful project! I don't have a good St. Patrick's Day story except that I was pinched a lot when I was young and often had to find some green paper to make a shamrock to pin on my clothes.
ReplyDeleteThat is amazing and funny and adorable!! :)
ReplyDeleteI think the most "Saint't Patty" thing I've done was help dye beer green at work - and boy - does that much food dye do things to a person's system! :P (I was a nurse at the time! HAHAHA) :)
Nice idea, and a nice decoration for St Patrick day
ReplyDeleteHow adorable!!! Love the little tutu!
ReplyDeleteI guess the only St. Patrick's Day story I have is when my granddaughter told me over the phone excitedly that a leprechaun had made green pancakes for her breakfast! (My daughter in law is of Irish decent and really plays up St. Patrick's Day.)
Rosemary B here:
ReplyDeleteOf course I love your party moose.
Well, I have a great riddle

Oh, you made me laugh this morning and brightened up my day. My favorite St. Patrick's Day story would be about the wonderful men and women who shave their heads around that time of the year for an event called St. Baldrick's. People take pledges to raise money for children's cancer research, and they have made over $34 million, yes, million! Both my sons, my daughter, and my husband have shaved their heads for this event. My daughter will be shaving her head for the 2nd time this year. Over $100,000 has been raised in the memory of my grandson.
ReplyDeleteTop of the morning to you and your bonnie moosie! "McMoosie" looks so fine in the wearing of the green. Cheers!
ReplyDeleteWhen I was a little colleen, my Irish Da, who named me after this blessed saint, and would sing Irish songs and dance me around on St Patty's Day and had me convinced the celebration was all for me ... :) Pat
Love your Moose in a tutu-so cute and creative. Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteUnfortunatelllly, I have no St. Patrick stories. I just always made sure my girls had something green on, so they wouldn't get pinched. I love your moose, she looks ready for anything. Thanks for the giveaway.

I love it knew it had to be your creation when I saw it on the blog. I have a great story. My in-laws home was destroyed in the Northridge earthquake and they had been looking for a new one. One tradition we had was that they always came over for a St. Pat's dinner at our home. The house behind us had gone up for sale the day before and they went to look at it when they came for dinner. They made an offer and got the house. So....they came for dinner and left with a new home.
ReplyDeleteI don't need to be in the drawing, I just wanted to tell you how much I LOVE your St Patty's Day moose! I hear green beer will make you do funny things... like wear a tutu hahaha!
ReplyDelete~Brandy
You did it again. Smashed with creativity and the challenge of ruffles. Somehow you always come out on top in my book.
ReplyDeleteHoly Moose! Yours is just adorable. Congratulations on being in top two.
ReplyDeleteYou always come up with something creative , great job , just love it !
ReplyDeleteMy hubby is 1/8 Irish and the rest Italian. What a combo! He just loves corned beef and cabbage and every year we have not one, but two during March when they go on sale at our local grocery store. We have cut down a little on the cabbage and add more carrots and only one large potato. I never had these growing up but now....Mmmm, mmmm, mmmm! Sewingblogsarefun@yahoocom
ReplyDeleteAdorable, as usual! I have a friend who plays the pipes, and I love listening to HIS St Patrick Day stories -- I don't have any great ones of my own. Maybe this year. :) I do love corned beef and cabbage, though.
ReplyDeleteLove your partying Irish moose! Most memorable St. Patty's day story: Many years ago, went out for a green beer after work with some friends, still in my work clothes, a creamy white sueded skirt and jacket suit that I had made. Was sitting at the table visiting with folks when someone bumped into the waitress and caused her to spill an entire pitcher of ultra dark green beer all over me. She absolutely panicked, and I spent the next half hour in the kitchen being sponged off with soda water. Left with a very generous voucher for dry cleaning. Of course, the suit was washable, food coloring is water soluble, and everything washed right out. Did have to have another green beer after the commotion.
ReplyDeleteI grew up going to Catholic school with nuns who had come from Ireland just a few years before. I always associate St. Patrick's day with the green popsicles they gave out. It was years later before I learned that not every elementary school education includes learning the jig! Beth @ Words & Stitches, pbstrand@msn.com
ReplyDeleteI don't have a St. Pat story but I couldn't let this post go by without commenting. I am still LOL! What a hoot that moose is! You come up with the cutest ideas! I love her!!
ReplyDeletePerhaps that Moose needs to lay off the green beer - I mean, what beer drinking moose would wear a tutu unless they'd had toooo much!! lol Really cute and with a sense of humor - I've begun to expect as much from you!!
ReplyDelete"I met a leprachaum many years ago and was given three wishes. First, I received a fabulous man whom I married. Second, I was blessed with 3 marvelous children. The third wish hasn't been used...I need help to decide how I should use this final wish..." That's my story and I'm stickin' to it.
You are AMAZINGING! Did you laugh the whole time you were making it?
ReplyDeleteHow cute! I am afraid I don't have many great St. Patrick's day stories. I do remember one year in college I definitely saw students in my class drinking green beer out of travel mugs on St. Patties day. (This was pretty shocking at a 10 am class!) Your moose would have fit right in.
ReplyDeleteLassie, having a wee bit of the Irish myself(by proxy) We lost the" O" of O'Conner when great great granddad came over. soooo there is a story or two that could be told. However, I'm really interested in that moose. How adorable, is she possibly for sale? My own Leprechaun would love it. Just saying....
ReplyDeleteThis is a very fun little quilt! Very clever and festive. great way to use ruffles!!
ReplyDeleteSweet!! Great hop wit so many original ideas!!
ReplyDeleteA bear drinking tutu wearing moose; got to love it. That just gives me the giggles. Great job! ~Shari
ReplyDeleteI've never been big on St Patty's day, but I do love your creation! I'm still giggling!!
ReplyDeleteThat moose is adorable! One time my sister made a green cake for my aunt and uncle for St. Patty's day and their bathroom leavings (I'm trying not to be gross) were green all day!
ReplyDeletemissysaprons@gmail.com
I love your moose! (Always do!) I once wore a button that said Kiss Me I'm Irish. Big mistake.
ReplyDeleteOMG that moose in a tutu is too too cute!!! Don't have a St. Patty's Day story but just had to let you know how fun your moose creation is :)
ReplyDeleteYou are uber clever and I adore your Moose wearing a ruffled tutu and drinking green beer. I used to have an Irish boss and we threw amazing St. Paddy parties with everything green. I made 25 pounds of green mashed potatoes! Thank you sew very much for Hopping...
ReplyDeleteOMG HIlarious! You go girl!
ReplyDeleteOMG this is the cutest thing I have seen in quite awhile!
ReplyDeleteVery, very cute St. Patricks Day Moose with a ruffle!! I love it.

I think your Irish ruffled moose is gorgeous.
ReplyDeleteOh my gosh, your quilt made me laugh! That is so great! The pattern looks terrific. I don't really have a favorite St. Paddy's day story, but my husband ALWAYS made corned beef and cabbage for me, as a salute to my heritage - and he was a great cook! I miss that now, 'cause I'm not so great. =) Thanks for the chance to win. dezertsuz at gmail
ReplyDeleteI just had to laugh out loud - so, so cute! blessings, marlene
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness, your Moose is just toooo cute! I don't have a favorite St. Patrick's Day story but I wish I could really find pots of gold at the end of rainbows. lol
ReplyDeleteLOL, your moose sure got a belly laugh out of me today. So cute and very creative.
ReplyDeleteDon't have a funny St. Patrick's Day story ( not a sad one either..lol) But HAD to tell you how much I loooove your Moose!! You are soooo Creative! AWESOME job!!!
ReplyDeleteOMG, How adorable... I sew ... LOVE IT!!! Who wouldn't.. Way Cool!!
ReplyDeleteLove the moose. You really must be fun to live with. thanks so much for sharing. Most of my St. patty day memories of years gone past definitely include some of the green refreshments...
ReplyDeleteI have to say I really love your moose in a tutu. How creative you are.
ReplyDeleteThere's the moose I expected in the door stop blog hop! I absolutely love, love, love her. The tutu is just too cute! No St. Patty's Day memories for me, not even a memorable pinch!
ReplyDeleteWhat an adorable moose wth a cute tutu on her. Just going out with friends for green beer about fifty years ago.
ReplyDeleteYour ruffled moose is wonderful. What I love about St Patty's day celebrations is the wonderful music. Irish music is just so great to sing along to.
ReplyDeleteYou are so creative - I love the moose. crystalbluern at onlineok dot com
ReplyDeleteLaughing and I thank you for that. Moose in tutu drinking green beer and having a blast doing it!
ReplyDeleteSt. Pat's story: way back in 1978 the first time I kissed DJ was in a parking lot at Long John's Silver because he caught me with a "Kiss Me I'm Irish" button on. We were not even dating at the time, I knew him to talk to but that was about it. He maintained for years that it was not a very good kiss---and I always retorted that we were not even dating so why would I really lay a lip lock on him? I also had to kiss his best friend from work too but he was married so needless to say, that was just a peck on the cheek. DJ later found out that I really could do much, much better!
Your moose is too stinking cute! I dont have any irish stories but I will tell you that I had an aunt born on St Patricks Day. Her name was Margie but we always called her Aunt Willard. I never ever knew why we called her that!
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness. That is hilarious.
ReplyDeleteHi!!!! Ha!!!! Love it!!!!! It is just too cute!!!!!! And fun!!!!!
ReplyDeleteThat is too funny for words!!!
ReplyDeleteI agree, this moose ist just tooooo cute. :-)
ReplyDeleteStory: Sitting in New York, at Smith &Walensky, with a great deal of irish guests. One of them had too many of the glases ( beer), and fell asleep at the table with his head "in the Beef". When he awoke, he called for the waiter, and complained that his beef had gone cold........ All the other guests could not stop laughing....me included.
Haha! This is my first sighting of a moose in a tutu! She is so very cute! I grew up in Montreal where there is always a big St. Paddy's day parade. In March the weather can vary from very wintery to mild spring temperatures, but we would always go to enjoy the parade.
ReplyDeleteWonderful.
ReplyDeleteDon't have any favorite memories of St. Patricks Day, except I had a friend whose birthday was on the 17th.
ReplyDeleteTutu cute! Oh my! I'm at a loss for words - yes, I am! I love every bit of it, including the sunglasses. Now, that's a moose with a hangover. I needed a pick-me up today and you certainly delivered. I've never been one to celebrate St. Paddy's day, so I have no stories. Thanks for participating and great creativity.
