My day is here...and have we seen some marvelous
Tammy bags and Pinnys!
It's a tough act to follow all of you,
as I haven't cross stitched in years.
Once I got my eyes to a place where they decided I could see...
It was smooth sailing from there!
LOL!!
When I saw Brookes fall stitchery, I knew I was hooked.
I just love the colors of fall, and I knew right away the piece of fabric
I was going to use for my Tammy Bag.
And for my Pinny...
There was not ever a question...
Cori hit the nail on the head with this one.
Can anyone explain to me just why?
Oh, I am so "not" a stitcher.
Worse yet, I never even saw how bad this looked until I
wrote this post!
Could it be that all my quilting, sucked my stitching juices dry?
Yes, I am walking the hall of shame.
Moosestash looks awful!
What can I say?
LOL!!
Good thing the other side is the most useful!
I absolutely love it.
And how it snaps right onto my Tammy.
A big thanks to Cory and Brooke for all their work and their generosity
of sharing their designs for our hop!
As well as to Mary for all her hard work.
And as always the wonderful Madame Samm, for just being you!
;-)
Please stop by my fellow bloggers today and see there fabulous Tammy projects!

Even your cross stitch fabric looks fallish! Great job!!! :)
ReplyDeleteAn adorable Tammy Bag in fall colors, and I think your stitching looks great!
ReplyDeleteLove the batik material you used - your cross stitch bag looks wonderful!
ReplyDeleteOh stop that! LOL.. It looks Moosey! Your bag and pinny turned out just beautiful! I hope to do this stitchery too, love the colors and all the cute accessories. No telling what it would turn out like....scares me a little ...*shiver* Great post, so nice to stop by and visit. ~Cori
ReplyDeleteYour Tammy is beautiful. I love the automn color of the fabric that you have chosen. Thanks for sharing your creativity and being part of this blog hop.
ReplyDeleteI think you did a great job on your Tammy Bag and Pinny. The Batik fabric works so well with the fall design. Thank you for being part of this great hop, and showing your creativity.
ReplyDeleteJoan,
ReplyDeleteYour Tammy and Pinny are adorable. Your fabric just says fall. Beautiful work.
Love your fabric choice it looks so fallish and your pinnie back IS awesome.
ReplyDeleteYour Tammy and Pinny are perfect! I love the Fall fabric you chose. Thank you for sharing.
ReplyDeleteI just love your fall Tammy. The fabric is gorgeous with the stitchery. And listen, I am in awe of all the beautiful cross-stitching I see. I have never been able to master that stitch. I can do a load of other stitches (and actually enjoy them), but even the thought of a counted cross-stitch pattern makes me break out in hives! SO, well done you!
ReplyDeleteJOan, your bag is very nice with these batiks fabrics! And I am not a pro at stitching neither, but I begin to love it, especially on the evenings because I don't want to hear the noice of my sewing machine, so I stitch every evening....
ReplyDeleteGreat job Joan! Love the fabric choice. Don't be too hard on yourself. Tiny stitching is hard!
ReplyDeleteYour bag is beautiful; great fabric choice!
ReplyDeleteoh Joan you is tooo hard on YOU.....first I love your fall and it even looks like MOOSE fabric....the colours anyway...and I think your pinny was well done...just your name..well that is easily fixed..use one thread of any colour and just restitch...lol YOU can do anything and I love your Tammy bag
ReplyDeleteI think your little bag and Linnie turned out wonderful Joan.....love the fabric
ReplyDeleteJoan.. Your Tammy is gorgeous.. never thought of using batiks for the purse but yours is wonderful! Your pinny is sweet... I can't stitch names too well either... I tried a different ploy... You will see on Tuesday. :)
ReplyDeleteYour bag and pinny are beautiful - love the batik that you chose! Stitching tiny letters is not easy - I know. :)
ReplyDeleteMoose Stash looks just fine Joan ! Your batik fabric is gorgeous....great work !
ReplyDeleteJoan you don't give yourself enough credit - I think it looks great! The batik works perfectly with this stitchery and really sets it off. You're going to love using this one! blessings, marlene
ReplyDeleteYour bag and pinnie are beautiful, as for the tiny letters...my tip to you is to use tiny stitches. I have been working to improve my letter embroidery this last year and the tinier the letters the tinier the stitches...makes all the difference. For what it's worth, I think it is beautiful as is.
ReplyDeleteI think it looks fantastic. The fabrics are perfect with your stitching. Those wee letters are hard. I ended up sewing mine with a back stitch instead to get those tight curves. I love the cute pinny and how it attaches.
ReplyDeleteI think you did a GREAT job! I love the use of the batik for the little coffee cup! Those tiny words are really hard! I also have a hard time with tiny ones. Yours looks fine! (The needle, thread, and size of the stitch makes a lot of difference to how smoothly you can get your stitches I found.)
ReplyDeleteBoth pieces are great! Nice to share the "blog hop" day with you! :-)
ReplyDeleteYour bag is lovely and the fabric do coordinate so well. I don't think you stitching looks as bad as you might think it does. A softer colored thread might help too. You're so creative, I'm sure the stitching fairy didn't pass you up.
ReplyDeleteI think your project is so neat - great colors with the design and the fabric. I saw "Moose Stash" on the pinny and thought that was such a perfect idea and I never gave the actual stitching much thought till you mentioned it. Tell anyone who asks (who would?) that vintage is the look you were going for!!!
ReplyDeleteI can't judge someone else's stitching since I'm not the best at it, but I think your work is always amazing. I love the colors you chose for your bag and pinny...cute, cute, cute!
ReplyDeleteYou are too hard on yourself!! I think your pinny is gorgeous and your cross stitch superb!! I love your color choices.
ReplyDeleteI think your bag and pinny are gorgeous. I love your color choices. Thanks for sharing your lovely work with us.
ReplyDeleteLove your color choices and think you are way too hard on yourself. I love how you personalized your pinny. Thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteJoan, your bag and pinny are fabulous! I love the fabric you chose to go with the fall pattern. I was thinking how much I loved that you personalized your pinny when I read your disappointment. I think we are all the most critical of our own work. ;) Lovely job!
ReplyDeleteJoan, you are too critical. Your stitching is fine. Your personalization of your project is adorable. Your fabric choices are wonderful. Your cross stitch is impeccable. Thank your for participating in the hop and being a marvelous inspiration. I am not a coffee person at all and already have encouragement from others to join in the hop for which you are our cheerleader. Thank you for doing that. I'm still trying to decide. I've purposed to do more things this year. So, I'm trying to decide - I love the fabrics.
ReplyDeleteYou did a great job on the Tammy Bag and Pinnys. Don't be so hard on yourself.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful job on both projects! Love your colors!
ReplyDeleteToo many "s" in moosestash, it's a challenging letter, that's all. Teeny tiny stitches and i think you'll get it
ReplyDeleteI sooo love how you used batik for your Tammy and Pinny! I also really like the snap for attaching the pinky, now why didn't I think of that?
ReplyDeleteFabulous Tammy Bag and Pinny...the fabrics and the stitchings and I adore them! Thank you sew very much for hopping. Creative Tammy Bliss...
ReplyDeleteLove your color choices. And we all have to start stitching somewhere. Great job on the Tammy Bag.
ReplyDeleteYour Tammy bag and pinny look great and I love that you used Batiks. Love Batiks!
ReplyDeleteYou used a gorgeous batik for your Tammy Bag. It has a wonderful warm, rich look to it. I like the Aida cloth, too. It's got nice texture. I wish I had a figure like that!

Great choice of colours and fabrics in the Tammy bag and pinny. They look great. You have had more fun playing with them.
ReplyDeleteI'm only a day behind.. Nice job, Joan. Thanks for the giggle this morning. You are a trooper and your fall bag is a beauty. I love that you made the pinney you own.
ReplyDeleteGreat job on your bag and your printing is all that bad.
ReplyDeleteMe thinks you protest to much, or I need to get my eyes fixed. The green batik sets off the browns absolutely perfectly. I don't know too much about the penny, but I like the little sewing kit on the back. Great idea. I think it is as cute as can be.
ReplyDeleteYour Tammy bag is georgeous. I love those fabrics you choose for it. And adding your name to the Penny. Perfect!
ReplyDeleteLooks just beautiful - great color choices!
ReplyDeleteI like them both but probably the letters are just too small to turn out well?
ReplyDeleteJoan you do get a big pat on the back!! You finished your Tammy and pinnie and they are amazing!! I have never cross stitched...no close ups of my bags tomorrow. I must say I am enjoying it but have been doing a lot of frogging as Mdm Samm calls unstitching!! Spring has given me some grief...Winter scares me!! Happy stitching, Pauline
ReplyDeleteLove the fabric you used for your bag and pinnie. You know we wouldn't have noticed that your stitching wasn't fabulous. We are our own worst critics.
ReplyDeleteOh, this is an adorable Tammy and Pinny - you do great work - I didn't think a thing of it until you mentioned your stitching. Mine gave me a hard time too. But it's all good, and it will get used and that's the real point. So fun!
