I'm so "Egg-cited" and I just can't hide it...
...much longer that is!
We are going to have a quilt-a-long, here in the MooseStash! :-) For those of you that know me, I am a huge fan of Angie Padilla and her fabulous patterns on Angies Bits 'n Pieces. But did you know she also has a site called Applique Garden where she does weekly block designs. (they are both linked for you).
Once the patterns are complete on Applique Garden, they go in Angies store for purchase. You can take a peek at some of the wonderful things she has, right HERE.
Easter Party is the name of this adorable little wall hanging. It's 36" x 42", nothing so big that it's overwhelming, but it's offers a lot of opportunity to play with different techniques. A little raw edge applique, some free motion stitching, thread painting, using those great built in stitches on our machines that I for one, tend to forget about... The sky is the limit with this guy! Of course there are no rules, you can make yours however you like. I'm just going to throw out some ideas to hopefully inspire you. I didn't want to start this one before Easter, so there would be no pressure...
We will start on this adventure on Saturday April 18th, and do one block every two weeks, until all 11 blocks are complete. There will be a big reveal with our finished quilts after that.
If your a member of Applique Garden, you have likely downloaded all your blocks already...those who are not members might want to take a look at what's in the "garden" and see how it all works. You can find all that information right HERE.
If you want to purchase this pattern from her retail shop, Angie will have it available on Friday April 17th.
If I can tempt you even more....
Take a look at all the colors...
OOOhhhhhhh AAAhhhhhhhhh
So mark your calendars...we are only 12 days away.
And you will definitely want to start looking at all the brand new fabric,
in the "hot off the press"
Island Batik Catalogue...right HERE.
It's guaranteed to tickle your toes!
;-)
See you soon!
