Eerie Nights Comes to an End

It's always just a little bit sad for me, when a great
blog hop comes to an end.
This time was no exception, especially since
Halloween is my favorite time of the year.

I had to ease the pain by throwing a little
Halloween Party for quilt club yesterday.

I must confess...
I've become a Pinterest junkie because of this!

We started out with a box of Krispy Kreme donuts...
adapted for the season of course!

There's just something about your food looking at you...

Moving on to lunch...
Served in a microwave bowl holder for the holidays of course.
Take a close look here. No, it's not your eyes or computer screen...
This spaghetti is purple.
All kinds of fun Halloween ideas for foodies!
With the addition of Eyeball Meatballs

No lunch would be complete without
"Bloody Shirley Temples"
I couldn't find syringes anywhere, so the next best thing
at the $1 store... a turkey injector!
Better yet, as it holds way more blood...
:-)

Whats more fun than ice cubes with spiders in them?

Then were were treats...
with treats inside this edible treat!
(I opted to not put on cupcakes)

More treats...
Pretzels
and
Bat Bites
(go for the dark chocolate Reese's Minis)
Yummmmmy!

I put on my crafting hat for this Spell book!
A trip to the Goodwill found the perfect economics
textbook for $2.50. I'm sure some college kid spent
$200 on it for a class! If economics won't cast a spell on ya,
I don't know what will.  LOL!!!

And an apothecary jar
I must confess, I could get really hooked on these crazy crafts again!

I had an epic fail with this soap...
Halloween soap add-in's just didn't make the mark.
Maybe it was defective $1 store toys!
LOL!!
Oh well, it was fun playing with it.

For every fail, there is a great success.
These were the hit of the party.
"Keeper of the Cheerios" was my inspiration for these
fun wine glass candle holders.
I made a few changes to the witch.

I wanted more hair and a real witch hat

I made my bangs longer and wider...

The hair (considerably longer and wider also) was
gathered at the top.

Wow, this is a horrible photo, but you can see that you stitch the
 2 ends together.

Put your beauty parlor skills to work and trim up
some additional bangs!

Hobby Lobby had the perfect hats.
They have seams in them.

You can turn them inside out and pull out a few stitches,
(in the point only, not the brim)
allowing them to go over the wine glass stem.

Once you turn back and slide over stem, hand stitch back together.
Oh it's quite a change, from stitching binding on a quilt for sure!
hahahahaha

Just push the point of the hat up, to your liking and decorate.
I used a fun glitter Tulle for a bow on the brim and
a very cool "Diamond" spider ring!
(tee hee)

Candles on top...
...LED flicker lights under the glass,
gives these guys such a fun glow.
It really spices up your holiday table.

Oh, and there are more
at "Keeper of the Cheerios"
Christmas, Easter, 4th of July, Micky and Minnie Mouse, weddings...
 my head is just spinning.
I can see I am going to need to get a case of these wine
glasses...
$1 store here I come.
:-)

Treats a plenty

and a good time was had by all...
I'm sure the neighborhood heard we were having a great time!
LOL!!!!!!!
Thanks girls for the best quilt club ever.

Happy Hauntings to you!
;-)
