When Suzy Webster asked if I would be interested in helping her 

kick off her new book...

Well, lets just say my heart skipped a beat!

Suzy has taken her love of Hungarian Embroidery and turn these 

gorgeous designs into fusible appliques.

She has combined the process of creating these blocks, 

with the speed of fusible applique.

What's not to love!

Additionally she offers great tips, including fabric selection, 

fusible types, thread and stitches.

It's a great reference book for everyone,

 from the newest of beginners to the most advanced. 

For this block, there was little planning on my part.

I turned to my Island Batik scrap bag.

Those fabulous fabrics did all the work.

Oh how we all love those "Bonus" blocks from scraps, am I right?

With my background so busy, I choose to stay with black thread

to stitch down my applique.

Finishing it off with a Churn Dash was the perfect way to 

make shine.

 The 22 1/2" square size works well as a small

wall hanging or a table topper.

(I like to attach a hanging sleeve to all my projects

for that very reason)
