...the dishes are done and the floors are clean. Leftovers are all put away and the turkey bones have been turned into soup. All the down side, of a wonderful holiday with family and friends. Am I right? It's always just a little bit sad to see it all come to an end. Unless of course, you have that one family member! Just kidding. LOL!!!
There is one quick way for me to beat those after holiday blues, and it's getting back into my sewing cave. That's just what I did.

"Scrap Happy" sums it all up.
If your a Bonnie Hunter fan, then you know what this is.
Yes in-deedy...I got right on the new mystery "En Provence".
241 sets of neutrals.
Ok, so I can't read. I really only needed 221.
What can I say?
:-)
My fabrics are all pulled and ready for step 2 next week.
I love Bonnie's yearly mystery.
It's a time when I can really do some extreme scrap-busting.
Nothing better than a quilt from scraps, for this girl.

Oh and I wasn't slacking before the holiday either.
Remember me saying I had found this,
stashed in my cabinet, long forgotten.
I worked and I worked...
and worked a little more.
Whew, I have to say, putting these rows together was a challenge.
Now I'm off to see what trouble I can get into with the next part.
:-)
Oh that note...
Keep on Stitchin'
Wow you accomplished a lot. Love the Jaqueline de Jonge quilt I think that there were several of those patterns sitting on the free table at guild last month.
ReplyDeleteWow! Your quilt top is looking amazing. I started on Bonnie's mystery quilt too. I only have 30 4-patches done so far. But, I've been working all weekend. 12 hour shifts don't leave be with a lot of time to sew. But I'm off the next two days. Hopefully I can catch up.
ReplyDeleteGlad your Thanksgiving went well! And it likes like you have jumped in feet first to Bonnie's new mystery!
ReplyDeleteBut I am loving seeing what you have done with your hidden and now found quilt. That is looking brilliant. I am in awe of the work you have done.
Great job on your 4 patches! I LOVE the NY Beauty piece.
ReplyDeleteLove the NY beauty...it is a beauty. I finished the Christmas decorating TODAY! We have our Christmas celebration early so it's just 2 weeks out. I down-sized my decorating this year and really...it doesn't seem all that small. It didn't take me quite so long either and that's a good thing. So glad you had a wonderful Thanksgiving. En Provence isn't in the cards for me but I'm following along and can't wait to see how it all works out.
ReplyDeleteIt's such a downer when the family crowd leaves and my house is quiet again. We had all five Monkey Boys plus four others staying at our house. I hated to have them leave! You are so right though...back to sewing helps. Your lost-but-found quilt is gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteLove your NY Beauty! That background fabric is to die for! Perfect choice!
ReplyDeleteI wound up with 277--You and I need to get together--we could make an ENORMOUS quilt!
ReplyDeleteYou're really ready for the mystery! I've always felt that a few extra blocks were an excellent idea. 8)
ReplyDeleteAnd I love the NY Beauty you're working on - gorgeous colors! Batiks are the best!
Looking good. You have plenty to keep you busy!
ReplyDeleteLOVE your magenta 'constant'! I'll be watching your progress. Watch mine at DianeSteeleQuilts.blogspot.com
ReplyDeleteNice start to the mystery. Your fabrics look lovely all lined up ready to go. Your "Be Colourful" quilt is gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteYour quilt is amazing, love the backround fabric :)
ReplyDeleteYou busy girl you...wonderful #1 is beautiful...Add me to that list too. I made way too many, just kept sewing!
ReplyDeleteLovely colors. When I feel not-so-great, I visit the quilt shop, which is full of color. I call it color-therapy. It cheers me right up (in spite of the fact, I'm broke when I walk out). I can see you've got plenty of cheer.
ReplyDeleteGreat start to the mystery quilt!
