Testing...testing "Patchwork Fabric Folder"

I love when I get the chance to do a little pattern testing.
When Daryl over at "Patchouli Moon Studio",
asked me to test a pattern for this adorable little folder...
I jumped at the chance.
I grabbed up my "Island Batik" fabrics and my new "Accuquilt GO" die,
and off to work I went.
(you know mine, had to have a moose on it)
LOL!!
I have to tell you, I've made fabric folders before...
but this one is special.
This one has a secret ingredient.
No wimpy folders here...it stand up by itself, and gives you a great surface for writing on.
And it's easy to put together.
It even has a spine in it, so it folds so nicely!
Yep, I'm pretty darn captivated with this folder.
It holds a standard 8 1/2" x 11" pad of paper.

Daryl put together a great "free" tutorial on her web site,
 for making a patchwork background
Oh, the sky is the limit with theses backgrounds.
It's put my brain into overdrive! I see lots of opportunity for some fun mini quilts!
;-)
You just have to visit her and see what she's done with her folders.
How about using up an old quilt block.
Labels, lace, buttons, bows, embroideries, photos...
"Sew" many ways of making them your own.
Customizing them would be so much fun and the holidays are approaching!
HINT HINT

You can find the pattern for her "Patchwork Fabric Folder"

til next time...

  1. Thank you so much Joan for being part of my tester team. I love your work and knew you would make a beautiful folder and yes I figured there would be a moose on it, lol! Looking forward to seeing what else you create on any future folders.
