This month the "Island Batik" ambassadors are topping their tables.
It's my favorite time of the year.
This little guy brings the season indoors, in a big way!
"Blooming Scarecrow"
This 17" x 50" topper is perfect for my dining room table.
Many of the fabrics I used were from the "Island Batik" basics and blenders line.
I love that they are always available when I need them.
I'm a Hobbs "Thermore" junkie.
I absolutely love this thin poly batting in my table toppers.
It quilts up nice and flat every time.
Thank you "Island Batik", "Hobbs", and "Aurifil".

Keep on Stitchin'
Years ago, my sister and I went on a Kentucky Shop Hop where we found a fall braided table topper. We shopped on Saturday, stayed in and sewed on Sunday while watching football, and finished this quilt-as-you-go project together. This is my favorite topper of all that I've made not only because it has my favorite fall colors but, more importantly. because we did it together.

Look at this fun topper. You can't help but smile to look at those scarecrows. They are so happy. My favorite topper is a crocheted doily my mother-in-law made. It's 30" and round and perfect on a certain table. She spoiled me.
ReplyDeleteSuper fall table runner! I love batiks in fall colors, too.
ReplyDeleteSuch a fun scarecrow! Super cute, and I love the sunflowers.
ReplyDeleteYour runner is soooo adorable....
ReplyDeleteSuch a cute table runner! I love the happy looking scarecrows - not at all scary!
ReplyDeleteI love your table topper!! I must say, I don't have a fall table topper...but I want to make your Scarecrow table topper!!!
ReplyDeleteMy favorite fall topper is actually a winter table runner in blues and purples with snowflakes appliqued on top.
ReplyDeleteYour table topper is lovely!
My favorite fall topper is a reversible table runner my friend made for me. It has a beautiful autumn leave fabric design on one side and a Halloween-theme on the other side. I love your scarecrows, especially since we host a huge flock of crows in the trees across the road from us. It is darn cute!
ReplyDeleteYour table topper is so cute. I love scarecrows - they remind me of growing up. Only our scare crows on the farm consisted of old clothing and aluminum pie tins! LOL Yours are much cuter!
ReplyDeletePS: I got so caught up in nostalgia I forgot to tell you my favorite fall topper is one I made last year - a multicolored maple leaf design!
DeleteThis looks like a great start for Autumn. Are you actually getting cooler days?
ReplyDeleteHvor er det en sød bordløber - Jeg har ikke lavet en for efteråret endnu, men har en til juletiden.
ReplyDeleteTak for inspiration Hilen Inge Lise (il@mvbmail.dk)
I haven't made enough toppers to pick a favorite. I do like one I made several months ago which has a candle appliquéd on it. I love your scarecrow topper.
ReplyDeleteSuper cute scarecrows!
ReplyDeleteFun project. I'm loving the island batik fabrics you chose.
ReplyDeleteReally cute! Sorry I'm way behind on blog reading
