Yikes Stripes "Beechnut" gum.
Back from the 60's for those who are too young to remember!
LOL!!
While their spokes animal was a zebra, I went a little different direction,
for this hop.
Meet Griffin. He's my "Yikes Stripes" goofy giraffe!
I'm no artist, so I love looking for free clipart online for my quilts.
This guy popped up when I "Googled" free giraffe clipart.
Once I saw him I knew just what I was going to make.
He is a free download from Clipground.com, you can find HERE.
Clipart is small, so I opened him up in the "Paint" program on my computer
and printed him on 4 pages to be the size I wanted.
I have learned to love using "Paint" that I didn't know I even had on my computer.
It's so easy to enlarge things in it and much less expensive than Office Depot.
LOL!!
I wanted floating triangles and I knew the Equilateral Triangle die,
would be just what I needed to make it happen.
192 triangles later...
Griffin was complete!
Using the Crafter's Edge Equilateral Die HERE, made for quick cutting
You can cut 4-6 layers at a time.
The strip dies HERE make it so easy to cut fabrics for borders and bindings!
An added bonus is for those of you with "GO" cutters, these dies will work in your machines with the addition of a conversion platform set HERE.
I absolutely love their Crossover II machine, with it's adjustable pressure settings.
