It's my day for the "See Ya Later, Alligator" blog hop.
I want to start off by thanking Carla for hosting this silly fun hop. I love how these hops, make us put on our thinking caps.
Pack up the truck and lets go fabric shopping, that's how I say "See Ya Later".
Remember the Row by Row Experience? I got a little crazy and said "See Ya Later, Alligator" more than once, then headed out to buy more fabric than I will use in this lifetime. LOL!!
It was such a fun time, though. I was able to talk my youngest into going with me for a few days, and we tripped all over state. Quilt stores are not his favorite, so we made a deal, I stopped at microbreweries for him and he would quilt shop with me. We stopped along the way and did some sightseeing, too.
The Prison museum was one of those, you have got to be kidding me places, but I have to say it was fascinating. Who knew?
We even spent the night at a hotel that John Wayne used to stay at, all the time.
We broke down on top of a mountain pass on one of our adventures.
Oh those were the days!
Getting back on track here...
Still being a little bit in that UFO mode from last month, I found patterns that I had never stitched, from the "On the Go", Row by Row Experience in 2017. After managing to collect quite a few license plates, these patterns were a must.
It was easy to combine the two. I started with the "License to Travel" pieced block and then adjusted the truck block size to match up. It was a bonus, to have enough of the "On the Go" fabric in my stash.
Digging a little deeper into my "UFO's" in my sewing room, I found 3 rows that had been fused, but never stitched. What better time to finish them up. I sashed them with a variety of black scraps for the backing.
You can choose any mode of escape to "See Ya Later"...
be it Space...
Hot Air Balloon...
or out in the Wilderness, in your Camper!
I think some of these may have been from an online Row Along. I'd love to tell you where for sure...but we had a little incident here, a couple of weeks ago. Papa let someone pound on my computer while it was on, and I lost about 8 years worth of quilt patterns I had saved. They are gone...nothing in the recycle and for some reason, they did not upload into Microsofts One Drive, that I pay for yearly.
So I can't really say for sure and I have no idea where the paper patterns disappeared to in my sewing room. That's another project I need to tackle, some day. :-)
