I've been MIA for a bit, and all for a good reason.
We took a little family trip.
A combination of Christmas and a couple of birthday celebrations.
I am officially obsessed with making T-shirts with the Cricut machine now.
Cutting vinyl is so fun and easy and Etsy offers a multitude of fun designs.
Since we were traveling with little people, we took an umbrella stroller to help get through the airports.
To make it easier to put under the airplane, I made up with little bag for it and used the excess vinyl from one of the shirts. It worked out great.
I'd love to say we have great photos of all of us in our shirts, but between the cold and rain and little man having blowouts in his clothes before we got photos, well what can I say? HAHAHA
This is as good as photos get!
We did manage to get a little bit of sunshine and silliness though.
It was definitely a trip of firsts. First plane ride for the little ones...first time hauling carseats, a pack n play, and a ton of luggage! Actually it was the first time going through the airport looking like the Clampets! HAHAHA
We are not from Beverly Hills, but we were the essence of the Clampets!
Colorado Clampets one of my friends called us.
You gotta love traveling with kids.
Definitely one of those trips we will remember forever.
The fun didn't stop there. I got home washed up our clothes slept a few hours and headed out for a quilt retreat. Yep, Nana got her own little private vaca too!
My friend and I have found that hotel quilt retreats are really a fun quick little retreat, for us.
A couple hours from home, make us feel like we have really escaped too.
This time the "Springhill Suites" was the perfect place. Their suites room are plenty big for 2. The beds are super comfortable and the perfect height to sit on to sew. So we just took a couple of small folding tables and we were all set. Ummmm...and our machines, and our projects and our wine and our snacks...Ok I do see that Clampet theme going on once again! HAHAHA
There is a small living room and they have a mini fridge and a microwave. Breakfast was free...what else could be need!
I made good use of my time there working on blog hop projects...
Can't wait to share...
