It's my day on the "For the Birds" Blog Hop

Welcome to day 1 of our June blog hop.
This month we are celebrating the birds. I don't know about you but we have seen a bumper crop of babies being born recently. Some days it's hard to just go out in the yard, without being dive bombed by an overprotective mommy bird! LOL!!

My project this month has the entire birdie family on it.

This is " The Birds " from Angie Padilla Quilt Patterns.

Once again, I did some stash busting and broke out those hand dyes that I have been hording for so many years.

These bright and cheery birdies just make me smile.

I even found this birdie backing in my stash.
Whoop whoop!

The springy quilt design is "Apricot Moon's Daisy Doodles" from Urban Elementz.

Please visit my fellow bloggers today and see what's chirping in their neighborhoods!
Leave them a sweet comment, to let them know just how special they are.

  16. We have 6 foot hedges in our yard just full of babies and over protective moms. I have to go out with the Frenchies to keep them from being dive bombed in the mornings. Me they just watch from the gutters and bitch. I do love them. Not as much as the birdies in your quit. Just a perfect design for applique.

  17. Such an adorable pattern and quilt, I love those hand dyed fabrics. In the rental we had last year in between selling and buying a home, it was infested with barn swallows. They had condos build on the steel i-beams, hundreds of them, and you couldn't walk out on the deck or into the yard without them dive bombing you. It was nice having them only in the evening because the house sat on the river and they ate a lot of bugs so there were no mosquitos so that was nice. Thank you for another fun hop. I'm a little behinds on visiting and commenting due to a very busy week so far.
