Gnome for Thanksgiving Blog Hop Day 4

Gosh it's hard to believe that it's day 4 already.
Where did the week go?
I have to tell you, I have a LOT to be thankful for this year.
Yesterday my 3rd grandie was born and we are excited she is here.
Welcome to the family little missy.

But enough about me...
Today these fabulous bloggers are wrapping up our hop.
Please show them a little Thanksgiving love with a sweet comment.

Well, this is a wrap for me! It's the last hop I am hosting. Yes I'm a little sad, it's been nothing short of a complete joy for me all these years, but with time comes change  It's a bittersweet time for this girl. I have made so many wonderful friends online. Life moves us in directions, but never say never. I am not going away (you all should be that lucky) HAHAHAHA

You never know when I will pop up, or what hop I just may participate in. Hint hint! Wink wink! Just who is hosting what next year? Asking for a friend? :-)

Join us in just a little over a week, when Carol hosts her last hop.

Hugs and blessings to all of my blogging buddies and readers!

Gnome for Thanksgiving Blog Hop - It's My Day!

It's that time of the year. The time we start thinking about what we are thankful for. So grab your favorite cuppa, and see what this "Gnome" thing is all about!

Did you know that gnomes and their lore originated in Europe. They lived in dark places like the underground and deep in the forests. They were mischievous little guys, but in time they took on very different meanings. In Scandinavia they are known as industrious, kind and wise. They are seen as guardians of nature and animals. In more recent times, the "Tomte" is considered to be helpers to Santa at Christmas. Gnomes were made famous in Germany in the mid 1800's as garden decorations. I had to laugh when I read that garden gnomes have become targets of pranks, some being kidnapped and sent on trips around the world. Can you imagine having to pay a ransom to get your garden gnome back?

So without further ado...my Gnome for Thanksgiving...

Yep, that's why I told you to grab your cuppa. You can enjoy it with me and my little coffee lovin Gnommie!
I found this sweet guy as clipart online, then when I stumbled on this border fabric

and knew he was destine to become a wall quiltie!

My Gnome stuffy is just 10" tall, but sports a hat that's 32" long. It's crazy easy to put together, yet has been in rolling around in my to-do pile for waaaaaaaay to long. :-)  He's a free pattern from "Shecansew.com" in fact you can find it right HERE. I may or may not have a gnome army started for every season, in my sewing room. Feel free to  kidnap one of them and sent em on a world tour, I will even escort em! HAHAHA

Sew that's what's been happening here! Check out what my fellow bloggers have in store for Thanksgiving. Make sure you thank them with a sweet comment.

Gnome for the Holidays

Where did this year go?
Is it me, or does life seem to fly by faster, the older we get?
Oh, but it's that wonderful time of the year when we all take a moment to focus on what we are thankful for.

This year we are celebrating the Thanksgiving season with a "Gnome for Thanksgiving" theme.

In just 2 weeks myself and my fabulous fellow bloggers will be sharing their holiday projects.
It's such a heartwarming time, I know you won't want to miss it.
